Dev Deveshwar Dhaam
The glory and description of “Dev Deveshwar Dham” are described in Vayu Purana. Dev Deveshwar Dham is a beautiful and wonderful temple of Lord Shiva. It is nea r the Gomti river bank. The lush g reen atmosphere of the temple courtyard and the chanting in the yagna shala creates a unique spiritual atmosphere It is said that all sins are removed if one bathes and worships on the day of Chaturdashi of Kwar Krishna Paksha. The one who worships Lord Dev Deveshwar situated here does not suffer from after-death sorrows.
This Siddha Peeth of Lord Shiva is the only abode in the world where Lord Bholenath resides alone. Neither data Parvati resides here with Mahadev, nor Lord Nandi sits here like in every other temple.
This temple area of “Dev Deveshwar Dham” is also known as “Shiv Lok”. The Shivling located here is a self-manifested Shivling of three colours. Some parts of the Shivling are red, some are black, and some are white.
